Who we are
IRFAD is a developmental consultative non-profit organization and one of the active Iraqi-based NGOs. IRFAD focuses on expanding the range of the local democracy and consolidating the efficiency of the regional and local administration. Its experience is derived from its full awareness of the Iraqi political, social and economic situations and the experience that IRFAD has is gained by its representative members in the 18th Iraqi provinces. These members are diverse in political, cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds that represent the wide spectrum of the Iraqi local communities.
IRFAD has all the required means to implement its tasks in different projects such as setting up profit studies, designing, monitoring and implementation of the projects.

Our Partners
As a result of our long partnership with international organizations and donors, the Foundation has been able to provide a lot of information about humanitarian and development projects in Iraq to its partners. It has achieved a remarkable success in connecting international organizations with Iraqi leaders within the government and civil society, giving their partners opportunities to learn about Iraq at all levels. Through its staff, the Foundation can communicate with international partners in partnerships with their Iraqi counterparts at various levels through the organization’s local communications network, which extends from politicians and government experts to academia, civil society and others.
Understanding Iraq
IRFAD provides its experiences to help organizations, aiming to identify the new Iraq from the political, economic and social aspects. Our staff in Iraq has the needing tools and contacts for the international governmental organizations which include the civil, humanitarian, media and companies which can be achieved through its network of activists covering all 18 governorates without exception. These contacts are Governmental, civil and media contacts in the political, social, cultural, educational, media, women, youth and sports fields.
With the reliable field experience in project management in Iraq, the institutions can achieve positive and touchable results at various levels; local, regional or international.

Our Experience
Our team has a wide experience in developing high profile projects with leading international organizations and donors. It has monitored, evaluated and implemented several projects by prominent international organizations in the country, linking our staff with senior government officials and Iraqi civil society leaders in various sectors, such as women, youth, students, and service institutions.Both in terms of project implementation and development.

The systems we use
IRFAD has documents to specify the administrative and financial principles, which are applied by all sections of the institution. They are administrative, financial and human resources management provisions, and as a mechanism should maintain transparency, accountability, and control. These controls have been approved by the Board of Directors of IRFAD and by the President of the Board AS WELL.

IRFAD is one of the leading Iraqi organizations in the field of democracy and local governance. It is cooperating closely with the other organizations and institutions to assist Iraq in democracy.
